Room Decor Editor · Room Decor Ideas

Regional focus: The Midwest, writing about ranch houses, split-levels, brick bungalows and newer suburban builds.

Adam Taylor writes Decostead's Room Decor Ideas guides, the room-by-room plans for living rooms and bedrooms. His area of focus is the Midwest: ranch houses, split-levels, brick bungalows, and newer suburban builds where one living room has to handle movie nights, homework, and guests. Adam approaches a room like a plan to be tested. Find the focal point, protect the walking path, place the big pieces, then decorate. He is interested in how households use a room through a long winter, and his guides tend to end with a clear order of steps rather than a mood board. Comfort and function come first; style follows.
