Regional focus: Texas, writing about apartments and newer open-plan builds shaped by kids, pets and strong sun.

Nora Bennett writes Decostead's Decor Picks, the buying guides for pieces like washable rugs, wall mirrors, and balcony planters. Her regional focus is Texas, from Houston apartments to newer open-plan builds around Dallas and Austin, where kids, pets, strong sun, and long commutes shape what people buy. Nora's angle is fit before features: size, material, care, and return details come before looks. She compares types of products rather than pushing a single item, and she writes plainly about trade-offs, including when a cheaper option is the better choice. Her guides are written for readers who want to buy once and live with it.

Nora Bennett is one of Decostead's six editorial voices, a pen name for one topic area of the site. Read more about Decostead.
